Being slow as a rebellious act

In a world where everything is convenient, easy and fast.
What might it mean to do things differently?

  • Instead of taking hundreds of pictures on your phone that you’ll probably never look at again. Buy a camera and a film. Take one film each month of really important moments. Frame them.

  • Instead of skipping through thousands of songs, play one album from start to finish, how the artist meant it to be heard. Don’t do anything else while you listen.

  • Instead of swiping faces on dating apps, speak to people in your real life. Engage and ask questions. Actually get to know someone, and you might be surprised what’s actually your type.

  • Instead of scrolling restaurants on an app. See what you’ve got in the cupboard, challenge yourself to make something new.

  • Instead of trying to learn something by reading threads on instagram, read a book, take a course, engage in critical thinking and question.

  • Instead of buying something new, enjoy the process of fixing what’s broken

  • Instead of using AI, think.

How can you bring slowness into more of your life?
